Help Us Build a Mosque
We are a passionate and vibrant Islamic community based in the Greenwich and Bexley area of South East London. Our mission is to promote Islam through education, spiritual development, and cultural enrichment. Despite our growth, we currently lack a mosque or education centre of our own. We rely on rented halls for Jumu’ah prayers and children’s classes, but these spaces are limited and not fit for purpose. To continue serving our community and help it thrive, we urgently need a permanent home.

This is the property we aim to convert into our masjid and education centre.
We Have Found a Potential Location
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
After months of sincere prayers and tireless efforts, we are overjoyed to share that we have identified a suitable building for our mosque and Islamic education center in Mottingham.
The seller has accepted our offer of £800,000. Thanks to your generosity, we have already raised £350,000, but we still need £450,000 to secure this property.
Time is critical—we have only three months to gather the remaining funds. If we cannot meet this deadline, we risk losing this unique opportunity.
This Is More Than Just a Building, It Will Be a Home for Our Community
A permanent place for Jumu’ah prayers and daily worship.
A safe space for our children to learn about Islam.
An Islamic nursery to support local families in need.
A vibrant hub for monthly charity events and community gatherings
Why Is This Location So Important?
Situated at the crossroads of Greenwich, Lewisham, Bromley, and Bexley, making it easily accessible.
Just 10-15 minutes from the nearest train station.
Serving an estimated 60,000–70,000 Muslims in South East London.
We Urgently Need Your Support
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise." (Sahih Bukhari)
This is your chance to contribute to a Sadaqah Jariyah—a lasting charity that will benefit generations to come. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to making this vision a reality.
"The example of those who spend in the way of Allah is like a grain that sprouts seven ears, each bearing a hundred grains..." (Quran 2:261)

A welcoming outdoor space for community events

Spatious Masjid Area

Our Activities and Services:
• Taraweeh Prayers in Ramadan: Organizing nightly Taraweeh prayers to bring the community together in worship.
• Ifthar Programs: Breaking fast together during Ramadan with meals lovingly cooked by our dedicated volunteers.
• Islamic Seminars: Offering enriching programs to deepen our understanding of Islam.
• Jumu’ah Gatherings: Organizing Friday prayers in rented halls under less-than-ideal conditions.
• Children’s Islamic Education: Teaching nearly 80 children every weekend, covering Quran, Tajweed, and Ilm ul-Hadith, often in a hall that doesn’t meet their learning needs.
• Adult Islamic Education: Providing classes for adults to learn and grow in their faith.
• Nikah Services: Facilitating Islamic marriages in accordance with Sunnah.
• Qurbani Services: Helping community members fulfill their obligation of Qurbani during Eid al-Adha with efficiency and trust.
• Hajj and Umrah Services: Guiding and assisting pilgrims in fulfilling their religious duties.
• Hajj and Umrah Seminars: Conducting regular educational sessions to prepare pilgrims spiritually and practically for their journeys.
These activities are vital for fostering a strong, connected Muslim community. However, without a mosque of our own, we are unable to provide the level of service and comfort that our community deserves. Below, you could observe our weekend classes gallery:

We provide essential Islamic education to children three days a week with our volunteers, nurturing the future representatives of our Ummah. With around 30 boys and 50 girls actively participating.

We Need More Space
Every Jumu'ah, our rented halls overflow with worshippers. This masjid will provide the space we desperately need to pray together comfortably and serve more brothers and sisters.

Alhamdulillah, our Ramadan prayers overflowed with worshippers this year.

The morning Eid prayer was completely packed.
Public Ifthars Organized by the Community Ramadan

Throughout Ramadan, we hosted nightly iftar gatherings open to the public.
Why Your Support Matters
The Quran reminds us:
“The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah, for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided.” (Quran 9:18)
The Prophet Muhammad (sav) said:
“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.” (Sahih Bukhari)
Our Goal
We aim to establish a mosque in the Bexley area, creating a hub for worship, learning, and community bonding. With so few mosques in the area and the unsuitable conditions of our current rented halls, this will be a promising step to teach and inspire more and more people, spreading the light of Islam and building a thriving community.
To bring this vision to life, we have set an initial target of £80,000, which will help us rent or purchase a permanent home for our community. Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. Together, we can create a space where the light of Islam continues to shine brightly for generations to come.
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] that sprouts into seven ears, each bearing a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.” (Quran 2:261)
Join us in this noble cause. Let’s build a future for our community in Bexley and reap the rewards in this world and the Hereafter.
